Those driving to Bryce Canyon should use the I-15 north from Las Vegas (254 miles) or south from Salt Lake City (271 miles). The NPS runs free shuttle buses within Bryce Canyon National Park. Guided tours are an excellent way to see the sights without the hassle of driving, map reading and parking. There are no buses beyond the city limits of Cedar City although hotels provide shuttle transport to and from the airport. Visitors may choose to fly to Las Vegas or Cedar City but a car is essential for exploring the area.
